To Learn Spanish — You Have to Stop Watching the News

October 20, 2012 Spanish study update:

If you have a box full of stuff and you want to put something new in,  you will have to take something out.

Your life is like that full box.  If you want to put something new in like learning Spanish you’ll have to take something out.

The better you do at taking something out of your life, the better you will do at learning Spanish.

What to Cut

The best thing I ever cut from my life was the news.  I could never change the money scandals, sex scandals, or the tragedies I read about, and I immediately felt better when I stopped watching.

When I started studying Spanish, I had to cut something else, since I had cut the news out of my life several years ago.

I decided to cut some work projects that weren’t going anywhere.

I don’t care how busy you are, there are some low value things in your life that you can cut.

Make your decision, cut something, dive into your learning and never look back!

Spanish Study Summary: Today I studied Spanish from 9:20 a.m until 9:50. and again from 2:15 to 2:45 p.m.
