How to Use Language101.com With a Tutor

I got the email below from Jim.

“My wife is a native Russian speaker and wants to look ahead in the lesson so that she will be able to speak to our son in the words and phrases he just learned.

Thank You
Jim”

Thanks for the email, Jim. Let me restate your question in a way that will hopefully help you and a lot of other people like you.

How can a language tutor see what you have studied, so the tutor can know what to review with you?

The best way to do this is to have the student log in to his or her account, go to the main study screen, and then click on the button at the bottom of that screen labeled, “I’m done for now, show me my progress.”

Use the button at the bottom to check your progress.

Click on the image above to get a larger, clearer version.

When you click on this button, it takes you to a list page that shows you all the phrases the student is studying.

Your tutor should read these phrases and then use them again with the student to make sure that the student is saying them correctly and that the student understands these phrases.

Students should make sure that their tutors review this material first with them.

The best use of a tutor is as supplemental review of the study you have done with our program. That will make the best use of the tutor’s time and the student’s time.
