Our Spanish lessons were recorded by educated Mexican Spanish speakers from Mexico city. If you already know some Spanish, you may notice that the accent is slightly different from what you have heard.
Learn Fast – Don’t Forget
When you learn Spanish, or any other language, you will notice that your speed in learning depends very much on how much you remember. Even if you study really hard and give it hours of reviewing time, you will always forget parts that you thought you had learned.
Sounds familiar?
Yes, you had learned those words. Several times. Yes you had reviewed them over and over again, and still, when the time comes, your mind goes blank and you just can’t find that pesky little word or phrase. Well, we’ve come up with a solution.
Successful Language Learning Depends on the Right Method
Really? But if I study really very hard, any method will do, right?
Well, not exactly. There has been a lot of research into the mind and memory, and all that has led to some very interesting findings. When we started building our software, we decided to use those methods to make language learning as easy as possible for you.
How? I’ll explain.
There are two really important aspects of fast learning and strong memories.
1. Spaced Repetition
Most people will take a list of words and repeat them over and over again. Sometimes for an hour or more. The next day they review what they’ve learned and guess what? They remember much less than what they would have expected for such effort.
This is because the best way to remember is to review at the right intervals. You can study words 100 times in a row, but I guarantee I can make you remember more in 10. How? By having you review them at increasing time intervals. After one minute, then five, then ten, and so on.
This is the single most effective way to build strong memories, and it’s built right into our software. So you don’t have to work as hard, but you’ll remember more!
2. You Need to be Asked the Question, Not Given the Answer
This is one of my favorites. I remember my schooldays, with pages of words and their translation and I would stare for hours, simply wasting time. What I didn’t know back then, is that if you challenge the brain by asking it the question, such as: “What is the Spanish word for car?” something really interesting happens to the mind.
It sort of primes itself for learning by having to search for the answer. Then when you feed “coche” into it, there is already a niche for the word and the memory is much stronger. Our programs do that.
So there you have it: A fast, fun, super effective language program that pretty much does your remembering for you. Ready to find out for yourself? Well just click on: “Try It.”
