How to Keep Your New Year’s Resolutions

January 3, 2018:  Learning a new language takes sustained work over a longer period of time.  Here’s how I improved my Spanish a lot in the first three months of 2017.

There are two common problems with people not achieving their language learning goals. One problem is that their methods don’t work.  Indeed there are many popular language learning programs that simply don’t work, even if you use them diligently.

Say for example that you have identified a language learning, like that you know works for you.  You have tried the free demo and what you learn sticks with you.  You still need to stick with the study every day in order to make it work.

The website called Stickk is designed to help you achieve your long term goals of any kind.  In the first three months of 2017, I used it to keep motivated to study Spanish every day.  I found it very effective and I highly recommend it.

One thing that Stickk requires is that you select a monitor to verify that you have achieved your language learning goals.  If you have a friend or a local language learning teacher, who can do this for you that’s great, but if you don’t have this, our customer service person at will be glad to be your monitor for you.

Our software automatically tracks the time you spend studying, so we can easily see if you studied with it.  We will be glad to monitor how much you studied with any language learning method, but if you don’t use our software you will have to have some method of showing us that you really did the work.

So you don’t have to use our software for us to be your language learning monitor, we will be glad to help you study with any method that we think is likely to work.

I suggest a short study time frame like 90 days.

Good luck with achieving your language learning goals in 2018!
